Project Title:  West Sammamish River Bridge

Location: Kenmore, WA

Client:   KBA, Inc / Owner: City of Kenmore

Services:  Material Testing and Inspections

Description:  This project replaces the existing southbound bridge across the Sammamish River and includes the construction of new sidewalk and bike facilities on the west side of the road between NE 170th St and NE 175th St. The West Sammamish River Bridge Replacement Project will also include new signals at NE 170th St and NE 175th St, new street lighting, utility undergrounding and new landscaping.

The original bridge was constructed in the 1930s and is nearing the end of its life (2014). As a safety measure, in 2014, the City Council approved a weight restriction on the bridge until the new bridge construction could be completed.  Total construction cost for this project is $43,300,000. Krazan provided a resident inspector to perform soil and asphalt compaction testing on this project.
