Description: This project was set to be the first large-scale mass timber office development east of greater Seattle. 5501 Lakeview is a two-story office building with two levels of underground parking and built using mass timber construction.
The structure is 46,000 sf with patios taking advantage of the west-facing views of Lake Washington, as well as the green-roof, rooftop deck, rain gardens and terraces to mitigate water runoff. Also included as amenities such as lockers, showers, and a bike storage.
Project featured Dowel Laminated Timber (DLT) which is a mass timber product that utilizes Pacific Northwest Douglas Fir and reduces the structure’s embodied carbon.
