We are looking for a Construction Materials Testing – Laboratory Technician to join our Tacoma, WA team. This position is ideal for candidates interested in advancing their career in the Geotechnical and Construction Observation/Material Testing Field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing and analyzing samples of soil, concrete, asphalt, and other construction materials
- Prepare test reports and maintain accurate documentation
- Operate mechanical equipment such as concrete compression testing machine, soil compaction equipment, aggregate mechanical sieving equipment, and asphalt testing apparatus
- Clean, maintain, and assemble laboratory equipment
- Track equipment usage and maintenance
- Load/unload samples and verify received quantities
Qualifications:
- Strong math skills
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs and manage a physically demanding workload
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Team-oriented, self-motivated, receptive to direction
- Comfortable working in varying environmental conditions (heat, cold, dust, and noise)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with field or laboratory testing of concrete, aggregates, soils, asphalt, and other construction materials
- American Concrete Institute (ACI) Concrete Field-Testing Technician–Grade1
- NICET CMT Certification

Prior lab Testing or construction materials testing experience is preferred but not required. Training will be provided for motivated individuals eager to learn and grow in the field.
Compensation: $22-$25 per hour
