We are seeking a Certified Welding inspector to join our team in Pacific North-West. This is a great opportunity for a seasoned Welding Inspector that values technical excellence.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all welding activities on construction projects meet applicable codes, standards, and project specifications. This role plays a critical part in upholding structural integrity and safety of the work we inspect.
Responsibilities:
- Perform visual and nondestructive inspections of welded joints in accordance with AWS, WABO, ICC, and other applicable standards.
- Verify welder qualifications and welding procedure specifications (WPS)
- Monitor field welding activities and ensure compliance with project requirements
- Document inspection results, generate reports, and maintain accurate records.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of welding codes, materials, and inspection techniques.
Requirements:
- Current AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification
- Minimum 2 years of experience in structural welding inspection
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Detail oriented with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and on uneven terrain.
- Physical capability to stand for long periods, squat, crawl, and lift/move up to 75 lbs
- Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record (company vehicle provided)
Preferred Qualifications:
- ICC/WABO Structural Masonry certification
- ICC/WABO Structural Welding certification
- ICC/WABO Structural Steel & Bolting certification
- Experience with various NDT methods (UT, MT, PT) a plus
- Familiarity with construction documents and blueprints

Hourly Compensation: $40 – $45
